Allah is enough; everything else is but a vain desire.
Wisdom whispers: “The bird dies—remember the flight.”
It is the flight that gives meaning to the bird. Wings grow only by clinging to the sky of meaning.
Without meaning, feathers, fluttering, even flight itself are hollow. To know God is to meet the meaning of existence. To realize you are held in His presence is to receive a self-worth that nothing else can offer.
To be content with God is to let Him give meaning to all we thought were “others.” To know that every beauty comes from the Beautiful One, given to you—intentionally, lovingly, is to grant that beauty a taste of eternity. Otherwise, like all things that fade, what you reach begins to leave you the moment it arrives.
Every love bears the seed of farewell unless it is rooted in the One who does not leave. To be with God is to be brought to the edge of being with all things a tenderness that lets your heart’s broken wings grasp the sky of meaning.

اللّهُ كافٍ، وكلُّ ما سواهُ مجرّدُ هوًى زائل.
تقول الحكمة: «يموت الطائر، فتذكر أنت الطيران!» فالطيران هو المعنى الذي يجعل الطائر يطير. تنمو أجنحة الطائر بالتشبث بسماء المعنى، وإلا فريشه ورياشه وخفقاته بلا معنى. معرفة الله هي التعرف على معنى الوجود. إدراكك أن الله معك يمنحك قيمة ذاتية لا يمنحك إياها أي شيء آخر. الرضا بالله يهب معنى لما نعرفه بـ «الآخرين» عن الله. إدراكك أن جمالاً ما قد أُعطي لك قصداً من جميلٍ، كهبة خاصة لك، يخلع على ذلك الجمال مسحة الخلود. وإلا، فكما ينتهي كل شيء، يبدأ الفراق لحظة اللقاء. وإلا، تجد في صدر كل حب قلباً يستعد للوداع. أن تكون مع الله، يوصلك إلى عتبة أن تكون مع كل شيء. يعلّق أجنحة قلبك المكسورة على سماء المعنى.

Allah me suffit, tout le reste n’est qu’un désir vain.
La sagesse dit : «L’oiseau meurt, mais souviens-toi du vol !» Le vol est le sens qui fait voler l’oiseau. Ses ailes grandissent en s’agrippant au ciel du sens, sinon ses plumes, ses rémiges et ses battements n’ont aucun sens. Connaître Dieu, c’est rencontrer le sens de l’existence. Prendre conscience que Dieu est avec toi te confère une valeur intrinsèque qu’aucune autre chose ne peut t’offrir. Être satisfait de Dieu donne un sens à ce que nous appelons «autres» que Dieu. Savoir qu’une beauté t’a été donnée volontairement, par un Beau, comme un présent qui t’est personnellement destiné, confère à cette beauté l’éternité. Sinon, comme toute chose qui se consume, la séparation commence au moment même de la rencontre. Sinon, tu trouves au cœur de chaque amour un cœur prêt aux adieux. Être avec Dieu te conduit au seuil d’être avec toute chose. Il accroche les ailes brisées de ton cœur au ciel du sens.

“Kuş ölür sen uçuşu hatırla!” der bilgelik. Uçuş, kuşu uçuran anlamdır. Uçuşun anlam göğüne tutunarak büyür kuş kanatları. Yoksa anlamsızdır telekleri tüyleri ve çırpınışları. Allah’ı bilmek, varlığın anlamıyla tanışmaktır. Allah’ın yanında olduğunu fark etmen, sana hiçbir şeyin veremeyeceği öz-değeri bahşeder. Allah’a razı olmak, Allah’tan “başkası” diye bildiklerimize anlam bahşeder. Bir güzelliğin bir Güzel tarafından, sana, sana özel bir ikramla, kasten verildiğini bilmen, o güzelliğe sonsuzluk verir. Yoksa tükenen her şey gibi kavuştuğun anda ayrılığını başlatır. Yoksa her sevdanın göğsüne vedalara hazırlanan bir kalp bulursun. Allah’la olmak, her şeyle olmanın eşiğine getirir seni. Anlamın göğüne tutundurur kalbinin kırık kanatlarını.
